A private place to watch things with people who aren't in the room.
Not open to the public. Accounts are approved by hand, so there is usually a wait.
- Screen share
- Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, or whatever else is on your display. Netflix goes through the browser extension, because DRM turns an ordinary screen share into a black rectangle.
- Links
- Paste a YouTube URL, or a direct .mp4 or .m3u8. Both sides stream the original file rather than a re-encoded copy of it.
- Uploads
- Films up to 10GB. Encoding happens in the background, so playback steps down a rung on a weak connection instead of stalling.
- Playback
- Whoever opened the room controls play, pause and seek. Clock drift between machines is measured and corrected, and anyone can re-sync.
- Talking
- Chat runs in every room while something is playing. Outside rooms there are direct messages, with attachments and a disappearing option.
- Privacy
- Each upload is private, unlisted or public, and you can change it later. Public still means nothing more than everyone who has an account here.
